TERMS & CONDITIONS

GUESTS AGREES TO THE TERMS AND CONDITONS STATED BELOW:

 

  1.  To maintain and leave the Premises in a clean, tidy and undamaged condition.  This includes but is not limited to:

    1. All kitchen items must be washed and put away and if applicable, dishwasher left empty.

    2. Fridge, freezer and kitchen benches must be wiped clean

    3. Floors to be left swept

    4. All rubbish to be placed in the outside bins provided (any excess rubbish not fitting in the bins provided is the responsibility of the guest and is not to be left on the property)

    5. Microwave, stove and oven to be left in a clean condition

 

In the case of non-compliance a minimum cleaning fee of $100 may be charged at the discretion of SBHR and the Owner.

 

  1. To pay the accommodation charges when requested.

  2. The Guest or any persons using the Premises shall not conduct themselves in a manner which is a nuisance or annoyance to adjoining or neighbouring occupiers and shall comply with the requirements of all laws and regulations. 

  3. That Guest/s are granted a limited permission to occupy the Property for holiday purposes.

  4. That this is not a residential tenancy agreement under residential tenancy legislation.

  5. That no more than the specified maximum number of persons is to be accommodated.  Occupancy of more than the stated number of persons and visitors may render the Guest liable to cancellation of their booking/reservation,

  6. That all damages, breakages and losses to the Premises and/or furniture, furnishings and lock and key replacements are to be reported to the property manager immediately.  The Guest shall be responsible for and must pay for any damages or breakages or lock and key replacements.  

  7. Not to remove any furniture or effects from the Premises and to leave all furniture in the position it was found in.

  8. To allow the property manager or the owner of the property, access to the property at any time to view the state of the property.

  9. That pets are NOT PERMITTEDon the property (unless permission has been granted by the propert manager / owner.

  10. That smoking is strictly NOT PERMITTEDin the property (the guest is responsible for the cost of cleaning if smoking occurs).

  11. That the Premises is vacated on time and secured.  All windows and doors are to be locked.  All keys must be returned as instructed by the property manager / owner.

  12. That no responsibility is taken for the Guest’s personal property left on the Premises. A fee of $30 plus postage is payable to the property manager / owner if they are required to collect/return items left by Guest/s.

  13. In the event the guest loses keys to the property, they are responsible for all costs associated to “re-key” the property.

  14. In the event the guest locks themselves out of the property outside the hours of 10am – 3.30pm, a $50 call out fee applies and should be paid in cash to the property manager upon arrival with a new set of keys.

  15. That in the event the Premises being offered for sale, to allow the property manager / owner to inspect the Premises with prospective purchasers during reasonable hours of appointment.

  16. That in the event of the Premises being sold, a reservation may be cancelled and all deposit monies  refunded to the Guest.

  17. The property manager / owner are not responsible for, and the Guest/s hereby indemnify and release them from any liability in respect of, any injury, debt, damage, loss, cost, delay, expense or inconvenience caused directly or indirectly by events beyond the control of the property manager / owner.

  18. That at the time of booking the property manager / owner has described the Premises and its position to the best of their ability and in good faith and as accurately as possible and that no responsibility or refund for alleged misrepresentation can be accepted.

  19. PARTIES, EXCESSIVE NOISE, FUNCTIONS AND SCHOOL AGED GROUPS are strictly prohibited and may result in loss of your security deposit and/or additional charges.  The Guest will be evicted immediately from the Premises should any of these events occur.

 

PROBLEMS OR COMPLAINTS

In the case of any problem or complaint, the Guest must inform the property manager / owner at the earliest opportunity so they have the chance to rectify any issues as quickly and efficiently as possible.  The guest must allow repair/service access to the property during reasonable hours.

 

BREACH OF TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Failure to comply with the Guest’s obligations in the Terms and Conditions, may result in the termination of permission to occupy the Premises and as a result eviction, and the property manager / owner to claim charges against the security deposit. If the value of loss or damage caused by the breach exceeds the value of the security deposit, then the property manager / owner of the Premises may have the right to recover from the Guests any costs incurred as a result of the breach.

 

PRIVACY POLICY

The personal information that the Guest provides is necessary to verify the Guest’s identity and to process the booking.  Personal information collected will only be disclosed under the Privacy Act.  

REFUND POLICY

Deposits are payable within 2 business days of booking confirmation, which secures a guest reservation.  Where a deposit is not paid within 2 business days, the booking is not confirmed and dates made available to other guests.  Deposits are non refundable should a booking be cancelled.  Where full payment has been made and a cancellation occurs, a refund of 50% applies should more than 8 weeks notice be given by a guest.  If less than 8 weeks notice is given, the guest will forfeit their payment and no refund will be given.

For online bookings via Airbnb and Homeaway, please refer to individual cancellation policies which are available with each listing.

  • Dodd and Page acts as a booking manager on behalf of the owners and in accordance with owners instructions. Streaky Bay Holiday Rentals reserves the right to take appropriate remedial action and/or seek compensation for any serious beach of the Terms & Conditions.

  • I am aware Streaky Bay Holiday Rentals will disclose my personal information in order to provide details to Landlord’s Insurance companies.

  • Streaky Bay Holiday Rentals will not be held responsible if the property does not meet with your expectations after the booking has been confirmed. 

  • Streaky Bay Holiday Rentals is open Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.  After hours calls/messages will be responded to as soon as possible.
